Used Tyre Gasification

Used tires can be gasified, either as they are or after shredding. In the gasification furnace, the tires are heated in a reducing atmosphere and gas produced by their thermal decomposition can be used in the kiln or in the calciner as a substitute fuel. Steel and other incombustibles are discharged from the gasification furnace and eliminated from the system. Gasification solves problems such as non-uniform components attributable to the excessive mixing of steel which is part of tires. There are several types of gasification furnaces, such as the fluidized bed type and the kiln type.
